What We Do

Also called the giant of Africa, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa. Its human resources and people work day in and day out to shape its economy. Being an economy that thrives mainly on traditional agriculture and trade sector, its citizens play a pivotal role in fighting against all odds. We at EcoHealth Foundation try to extend human and financial support to the downtrodden so that we can become a country that is strongest at its heart.

We aim for a better tomorrow by rendering honesty in what we do. We know it well that bringing out a change is a journey of miles that requires determination. So, we try to lay the foundation of a firm foundation brick by brick.

Our key work revolves around medical services, ecosystem preservation, and environmental sanitation, organic farming training and organic food production. Striving towards a better future, we are on our way of filling the glass of Nigeria’s rewarding future with hopes and courage. Let’s clink it together, and certainly, we will become the change we aim for. Check out the different ways in which we aim to ensure a humane life to Nigeria’s underprivileged people.

Medical Services:

Compromising on health means compromising with happiness. Good health holds the key to the treasure of opportunities and well-being. Health being a major challenge for the government of Nigeria is a constant nightmare that haunts the people of Nigeria. Its tropical location makes it prone to diseases like filaria, malaria, sleeping sickness and yellow fever. Added to it is the burden of being a developing country, hence it is often engaged with battling poverty, illiteracy, poor hygiene and lack of proper sanitation.

We at EcoHealth Foundation understand the dire importance of entire well-being. In addition to government efforts, we too have deployed people and resources to ensure that the common man in Nigeria and his children remain disease- free. We provide critical medical services that seek to improve the general well- being and eradicate the spread of illness in areas that need these services the most. Our mission is to provide routine check-ups and immunizations to the people; we render urgent medical care and giving them our hand when they need it the most. We ensure that our services are easily accessible, well-coordinated and can be trusted on quality.

Ecosystem Preservation:

Designing ways to monitor ecosystems and conserving it is the only way to be battle- ready against climate change and unforeseen disasters. EcoHealth Foundation firmly believes that we are the ones who wreck the ecosystem and we are the only ones who can conquer ecosystem preservation. All of us are aware that our ecosystem blesses with clean air, food and fresh water. Be it abiotic components like wetlands, rivers, streams or biotic components like bees and bumblebees these are the inseparable part of a healthy ecosystem. But while running for our selfish reasons to fulfill our needs, we forget to take a breath and stop for a while

At EcoHealth, we try to make people aware of the relevance of ecosystem preservation and bring them closer to the interactions that surround us. We educate people about the importance of living in harmony with Mother Nature and how we can extract its generosity to survive and let nature flourish. We try and identify the concerns that must draw public attention. Being citizens of a country that is believed to have one of the world’s oldest civilizations also envisages flora and fauna that isworth to be preserved. Natural calamities may not be avoided completely but takingprevention of an ounce would make us prepare us for a secured future.

Environmental Sanitation:

At The exercise of environmental sanitation is a desirable one here in Nigeria. Piled up waste and littered garbage is something that we all despise. Our environmental sanitation campaigns in Nigeria targets the proper collection, disposal, and treatment of wastes that include liquid waste, solid waste, industrial waste, hazardous waste etc. We are also involved in the maintenance and cleanliness of public spaces. It is quite evident that the entrepreneurial activities that go on in the regions and areas pollute the environment and generate waste in large quantity that needs proper treatment. Proper hygiene is a basic human right for the people of Nigeria, and that cannot be denied at any cost.

We at EcoHealth Foundation try to combine the art and science of sanitary, physical and biological principles for the prevention and remedy of keeping the environment clean and assuring public welfare. Here we teach people the golden rules to protect our environment so that not each individual family can enjoy the benefits to cleanliness and keep air-borne and water-borne diseases at bay. We ensure proper sanitation house sanitation, water sanitation and thereby prioritize the areas that need to be worked upon.

Organic Farming Training:

Technology has masked the bliss of nature. There is a revolution that has left no aspect of existence untouched. Agriculture too is no exception. Blind use of chemicals and pesticides has not only harmed our nature but has also posed threat to health. We at EcoHealth Foundation understand that nurturing the bountiful nature and taking proper care of our health is crucial.

Change in the practice methods of agriculture is the need of the hour. Hence, we try to promote organic farming where high yielding crops are produced without the inputs of artificial chemicals. We also impart Organic Farming Training to teach people best of the past techniques so that they can realize the importance of eco- friendly farming and keep pace with modern application of science.

By adopting the method of organic farming, urban and rural communities would be able to cultivate their crops with available resources without harming the nature and their health. Creating awareness about the boon of organic farming ameliorates the standards of agriculture and can be a milestone. Our zeal for bringing people closer to nature and making people acquainted with the reality keeps us going.

Organic Food Production and Distribution:

We acknowledge the problems faced by people here in Nigeria. Eating injected fruits and vegetables harms the health of a person adversely and food chain may also get disturbed. Excessive use of pesticides, GMOs (Genetically Modified Organism), use of antibiotic and the industrialization of agriculture is threatening the human existence.

Hence, at EcoHealth Foundation, we try to focus on using conventional techniques for increasing the number of organic brands and to boost the use of organic products to ensure higher food safety and food quality. Production of organic crops and its supply and distribution in the market is a challenge. Here we accept this challenge to making organic food products easily accessible to the local and benefit them by reaching out in the market and people can eat healthily and stay healthy. The program is aimed to regulate the demand and supply chain by keeping health factor in mind. Its objective is to ensure a check on environment exploitation and sustainable development for a better future.
